Welcome!

Everyone worries and feels anxious at times, but when anxiety and worry impact you or your child in ways that limit your life and lead to avoidance of certain situations or activities, it’s time to do something. You’ve come to the right place if you’re ready to focus on changing the way you respond to life’s challenges, removing unwanted obstacles and habits and moving forward.

Your daily life and important events will be better when you develop the ability to:

  • Rapidly calm your body’s physical stress responses
  • Manage difficult situations rather than avoid them
  • Focus clearly on goals, problem solving, and making adjustments...without being ruled by anxiety and worry
  • Move confidently and efficiently through social and performance situations

Over the past 20 years I’ve developed and used concrete techniques that create rapid, lasting change. My practice is rooted firmly in the belief that mental techniques can and should be taught to anyone looking to overcome anxiety, handle pressure situations, and manage the challenges of health and weight. The ability to create a positive internal environment allows us to realize our individual potential, and to simply enjoy life’s experiences to the fullest.

I invite you to explore this website and learn more about the seminars and workshops I offer and techniques I teach in private sessions. You can develop and master the skills that will free you to enjoy a positive future of your own design.

THIS JUST IN...Michael Yapko, Ph.D., has just released his latest book, DEPRESSION IS CONTAGIOUS. This book addresses the impact of social factors on the growing problem of depression, and how the solution lies in "people not pills." Dr. Yapko is one of the world's leading experts in the treatment of depression, and has been the most valuable mentor of my career.
